Back Again(2005 Recap)

It's been a very long time since I last posted. Allow me to bring you guys up to date with what has been going on:

In 2005 I did All State Jazz band, played the lead book for west side story, did a couple of trumpet features my senior year and got to play with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. I've also been doing a lot of blues band gigs and still playing for churches.

Graduation was cool. When it was all set and done I felt very accomplished about my high school career.

Right now I'm taking trumpet lessons from an excellent teacher and I'm currently going through a embouchure change. My jazz chops are strong and my legit chops just keep improving week after week.

I'm preparing for a couple of college auditions for February, so I don't know how smart it was to do an embouchure change right now, but oh well, I know that it will benefit me in the long run.

For 2006 I have a lot of big things planned that I'm looking forward to. Actually by the end of next year my goal is to have improvisation and classical playing under control and mastered..

yes it sounds like a lot to do but I'm going to be getting a lot of help from some excellent teachers, and I will not let the opportunity of learning from great teachers go to a waste...
