Hey what's up? It's my birthday today and let's just say that this wasn't one of my best days. It was probably one of the worse days that I have had in a long time.. Anyway at least not everything is going bad. I received a perfect rating at solo and ensemble festival with my performance of the Haydn Trumpet concerto so now I get to move on to the State level. So I'm excited because it's my first time. I also found out that my band director is letting me play the Haydn for the spring concert. Last Monday I had All County Band practice witch was probably one of the worse things I have had to do in a long time. It's pathetic that an Honors County band can't even get enough clarinet players to try out and that a Honors Jazz band only has 2 trombone players. It's just bad. I really hate where I live. But everyday I remember what the guys from he Navy Jazz Commodores said. They said as you become a better musician you get the opportunity to play with better musicians. So that drives me everyday to become better so hopefully I too get the chance to play with better musicians and get out of the situation that I am in.
