Chop Pains

Hi guys, sorry i haven't been posting lately...

My chops have been feeling like crap lately. Last Sunday I had a long day and just completely wore out my chops, plus band and play practice for the pit band isn't helping me heal... plus this new jazz band thing and plus i'm trying to record this cd is just so much... My chops literally hurt from playing so much.. Plus i have this thing on the tip of my toungue that just bugs me... My Caruso studies are doing good... I do have really high range now, I just don't play it because i'm having some teeth problem.. whenever i play high my back tooth starts to hurt me.. i'll have to go to a dentist or something to get that fixed.. the few times that I do attemp to play high i get up to double G or double A.... pertty good huh?!? go get caruso!!!! my tone is great and my improv. is maturing a lot..

I've been doing a lot of reading about Miles Davis and doing a lot of listening and I really like Miles Davis now... and John Coltrane to me is just a saxophone god... wow... well i gotta get to sleep ttyl peace.

Can't Complain.

Hi guys. I'm sorry that i haven't been able to work on the website lately. I've been just so busy and I'm really trying to get my Spanish trumpet site up and running soon. Hopefully when school is over with I'll have more time to mess with the site. I really want to do some new things to it.

As far as my chops they feel good. I can't complain. my sound is pure, my technique is just getting better and so is my soloing. I'm still practicing a lot of jazz patterns which helps a lot. But yea Caruso is definitely taking care of all my chop problems.

Update

Well once again I am sorry for not posting more often. First let me update you on what's been happening. I just turned 18 on march 4th, and by far I had the best birthday. I spent my b-day on a band bus on my way to Florida. The band sang happy birthday to me and we had a little party on the bus. The next day I woke up and I was in Disney World! The band got to perform in Disney so it was really cool, specially for me because it was my first time going to Disney.

As far my chops go I have no complaints. Let me update you on how I'm improving. First of all I did finally get a steady teacher. He started me on the Caruso system and I'm really really seeing some insane results. I've been doing Caruso for like 2 months now and I'm a way better trumpet player then ever before. On the side I also work on Clarke's and on some arbans stuff. I do a lot of jazz pattern work and transposing.. by the way, i was reading through the entries and I know that I have promised to put a lot of different stuff up on the site and I know that I haven't done what I promised but it's just that I keep forgetting and I barely have any time now a days.... so please forgive me...
