Happy Thanksgiving to all. Today I haven't done much trumpet playing. But then again I haven't had much time to have practice time by my self lately. I play everyday in band class for 70 minutes and when I'm not playing with the band I'm practicing my church music. Since the holidays are right around the corner I'm kept busy practicing all this different music so I don't really get time to practice trumpet stuff like Clarke's or anything.

Marching band is over. No more Chuck Mangione music. Eventually I'll post up the show music up on the website. For now I'm getting ready for the concert band and our Christmas concert in 3 weeks. I have a few nice funky solos. I'm also getting ready for solo and ensemble festival. I'm not sure what piece I will play but I'm thinking the Goedike concert Etude. I am going to go take private lessons soon and I'll probably start up some type of practice routine again like my Claude Gordon stuff. Since marching band is over we have to give back the flugelhorn. And I think that I will cry the day we have to give it back. The flugel is such a beautiful toned, romantic soft instrument. But no matter what trumpet is still #1 in my heart.
